Welcome to the NC Demos Group Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and are so happy you are here with us this evening.

The theme for this month is "Quilt While You Can".

I am not a quilter but I have 3 friends who are awesome quilters and love the things they have made for me.  I have made quilt cards before but wanted something different so I asked my friend to see if the card I am making was ok.  Happy to say she loved it.

The card is very easy to make and here are the measurements.  Card base is  Berry Burst 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. Blackberry Bliss 4 x 4, Black 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, Mossy Meadow 3 1/2 x 3 1/2, Very Vanilla is 2 1/2 x 2 1/2. Then I cut 4 pieces out of DSP 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 and 2 were cut in a half on a diagonal.

The vanilla was put on the Mossy Meadow  piece on a diagonal and 2 pieces of DSP glued to left and right corners and the cut pieces added these can be added different ways but this is what I picked.

I then ran it through the cut and emboss machine in the Beautiful Pattern embossing folder and added the other pieces of cardstock and added it to the top of the card.  

I then added the bottom Vanilla 3 1/2 x 1/2, Mossy 3 3/4 x 3/4, and Black 4 x 1.  Added some Sunnyday Dots and my card was done.

 Friday April 17th is the next time the Cards A Latte group will meet at the Local Bean coffee shop in Hudson NC at 10 AM.  We will be making these 4 cards.

March 2026 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and so glad you could join us this evening.  

Today we are saying goodbye to the 24-26 In Colors.  This group was one of my favorites that I went to again and again.  They are Shy Shamrock (my favorite), Pretty in Pink (another favorite and a gorgeous pink), Petunia Pop, Peach Pie and Summer Splash.  I will miss them.

The first card I made is a very simple one.

 

The base is Shy Shamrock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  On top of the base is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Shaded Spruce Garden Textured Specialty Foil sheets.  I then took a piece of vellum 5 1/4 x 3 and ran it through the cut and emboss machine in the Lazy Daisy embossing folder and added it to the right side of the card using glue dots.  I then took a piece of Shy Shamrock and ran it through the machine using the Creative Haven dies and stamped it in Shaded Spruce with the Creative Haven stamp.  Added it to  the right side with dims.  Then made a bow out of Shaded Spruce satin and sheer ribbon.  To finish the card I added some Shaded Spruce rhinestones I colored with the Blends.  Card is done.

The inside I did a little stamping on the white piece 5 x 3 1/2 using Shy Shamrock Ink.

But I wasn't finished yet, had to do another card using the Shy Shamrock  and the rest of the In Colors and this is the one I made.
