August 2026 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and are so happy you can join us this evening.

The theme for this month is "Shimmer and Shine" we are using foil as much as we can.

My card this evening is based on a card I did for a recent class.  Stampin' Up! recently released a hot foil system and I love it and used it on the card below.

The hot foil system is awesome but it does leave a sheet of foil that can be used to make another card, how you ask, simple, SU will be releasing a reverse plate.  This plate makes use of what is left on the foil sheet.

So what I did was cut a piece of silver foil 5 1/4 x 4 got the system heated and put the foil sheet down on the left over foil and I was able to make this card.

I finished the card with a sentiment and some basic rhinestones.

I wish the pictures would have come out better so you could see the shimmer and shine.

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening and make sure to visit the other blogs so they can help you shimmer and shine more.

Till next month be safe and stamp on.

July 2026 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and so Happy that you could join us this evening.

This months challenge had to do with the roll of the dice.  The SU Dice that is.  It is a special set that demonstrators can use to design a card.  It's a fun concept and was designed by a NC demonstrator.

This is what the dice came up with for this month. The challenge is you must include the following.

Punches,  Paper Piecing, DSP foil specialty paper etc., Color should be Regals and theme should be congratulations.

I was really able to do everything except for the congratulations.  With all the stamps I have I don't have one that would fit my card everything I has was way to big so I did Celebrate instead of Congratulations.

I used the Heartfelt Hexagon punch,  and a template from a card I am making for a class and of course it has DSP, Glimmer Paper and Vellum, and my color is Old Olive which is a Regal color the card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  I punched out 9 pieces out of all the papers I chose and arranged them in an order I felt looked good and attached them to a piece of Basic White cut 5 1/4 x 4. I then cut off the excess and this piece was done. I then punched out a small piece of white with the Banner Label punch and stamped celebrate from the Banner Sayings stamp set and added it to the right side of the card and of course I had to add bling it not my card until the bling is there.  I used 3 Moody Palette Gloss Dots and my card was done.

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening and please make sure to visit all the blogs for some great ideas.

Until next month be safe and stamp on.
