December 2023 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop, we are here the last Sunday of each month and are so glad you could join us this evening.  The theme for this month is "Bling in the New Year"  I love adding bling to my cards and this one was so much fun to do

I decided to use new product that will be released on January 4th and of course plenty of BLING.

My card base is Highland Heather cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.

Then I took a piece of White 5 x 4 and added Highland Heather Glimmer DSP and White Textured DSP to it these pieced we cut 5 x 2 and glued to the white piece and in the middle I add a piece of Highland Heather Grosgrain ribbon.  There is bling in the glimmer paper, the textured paper and even in the ribbon but I did not stop there.

I cut a piece of the Perennial Lavender DSP 2 x 3 3/4 and colored the flowers in with Wink of Stella and put this piece on a piece of Highland Heather 2 1/4 x 4 and added this to the center of the card with dimensionals.

I then die cut in Lost Lagoon the leaves and the flowers in Highland Heather before I added them to the card I also put on some Wink of Stella.  You can never have enough Stella.

I then added a tag in Lost Lagoon and stamped the sentiment in Lost Lagoon and added it to the card with dimensionals.

To add more Bling a made a bow out of the White Glittered Organdy ribbon and added it and to finish it off I attached 3 Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.  More Bling.

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening and please make sure to visit all the other blogs on this month's hop and see all the other bling.

Happy New Year be safe and see you next month

November 2023 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and so glad that you could join us today.  The theme for this months blog hop is "I'll have a pink Christmas".  There is only one problem with the theme, Pink is not one of my favorite colors and I would rather go Orange than Pink but I did the best I possibly could and went with Moody Mauve.  It is in the Pink family so I am doing it.  I picked a very simple card to do in Moody Mauve and I had to use the All About Autumn 6x6 DSP.  This paper is my all time favorite.

Mauve cardstock is cut 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2.  Cut the DSP at 5 1/4 x 4 and hold aside for now.  On a 3 x 3 piece of white in Moody Mauve stamp the salutation from the Cheers to the Season stamp set. Add the white piece to the right side of the DSP with dimensionals and add a piece of Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon to the left side.  Adhere to the front of the card.  Finish with 3 of the 2023-2025 InColor Dots.

For the inside I took a piece of white cardstock 5 x 3 1/2 added a left over piece of the DSP and put it in center of the card.

For those of you who may question the Moody Mauve as Pink I did another card using Flirty Flamingo and the Trucking Along stamp set.  This is a Swing and Sway fun fold. I just love the pink truck.

Thank you so much for stopping by and be safe.

Hope to see you here next month and please make sure to check out the other blogs for some great Pink Christmas ideas.

October 2023 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop we are here the last Sunday of each month and so glad you could join us this evening.  The theme for this month is "a little something".  We are coming to the gift giving time of the year where we remember family, friends and all those whom have helped us out the year and of course there is always a just because reason.

I have used this gift/treat bag for a number of years and have made it in many different sizes and have tucked many a gift inside.  I recently made this one as a Halloween treat for the ladies that came to my last card class.

I began with a 6 x 6 piece of designer paper.  This bag can be made any size as long as you start with a square piece of paper.

Fold one corner to the other to form a triangle.  Burnish fold to it lays flat.

Now open the triangle and take one corner and bring it straight down to the fold.  Burnish.

Bring this fold back up to the top so it looks like it did when you first started but you now have fold lines the will be a guild for you to finish the project.

Taking the left side bring it in and position it directly under the fold.  Burnish edge and leave it in place. Bring in the right side and do the same line it up with the fold line and burnish.  We are almost done.

Place some adhesive in the center and bring down the top part again and hold in place and your bag is done and you can decorate the top if you want.  The 6 x 6 size is good for two snack size candies or a gift card.  The 8 x8 size for hot chocolate and gloves, 10 x 10 holds a dish towel perfectly and the 12 x 12 for just about anything.  Hope you try this quick and easy bag.

Thank you so much for stopping by and make sure you check out all the blogs for some great ideas.  Stay safe and see you next month.
