November 2024 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and are so happy that you could join us this evening.  This month's theme is "It's A Gift" and I have one gift holder I make all the time.  It's quick and easy to do and all you need is paper not even glue but to make sure it stays together I do add a little glue.  I always have a few of these available and can decorate it as I use it, you never know what the occasion will be.

To get started you will need a square piece of paper.  My favorite size is 6 x 6 but I keep a few 12 x 12 finished projects around.  I have done some 4 x 4 but they are very small.

To make this, pick the size square you want and fold it on a diagonal.  Brunish the fold really well.

Next, unfold it and bring the top point down to the edge of the paper to the first fold.  Brunish it good.

Next, bring that fold back making sure that you can see the fold that you just made.  Take one of the corners and bring it up to the fold line making sure it is even with that top fold line.  The paper now is a little thick so may take a little longer to get to the fold line.  Brunish is piece really good and then repeat on the next corner doing it exactly the same way. It is usually here that I will add some adhesive.

To finish the gift holder bring down that piece that you created from the top add some adhesive to secure and you are done.  Now all you have to do is decorate if you want too.  Makes great party favors too.  I often use these to give small gifts to the ladies that come to my classes.

6 x 6 holder is good for candy, gift cards, tea bags and little items.  Bigger ones can hold hot cocoa and cookies,  gloves, even a small journal.  Uses are endless.

Here is one with a simple decorations.

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening and make sure to check out all the other blogs for some more awesome ideas.   Be safe, keep on stamping, and Happy Thanksgiving.
