December 2019 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the December NC Demos Blog Hop.  I hope all of you have had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a Happy New Year.

The theme for this months blog hop is THREE'S COMPANY.  We were asked to pick a stamp set and use it three times, sometimes hard and other times easy.  There are several stamp sets in our recent cattys that I absolutely love but there is one set that makes me smile every time I look at it at that is the SAB set Little Ladybug they are just too stinkin' cute.

This is the first card I made. I used Grapefruit Grove as the card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4 I then cut white 5 1/4 x 4 and stamped the flower and then colored it in with blends.  The 2 lady bugs were stamped on a piece of scrap white and like the flower colored with blends on in Light Cherry Cobbles and the other in Calypso Coral and put on a piece of black cardstock 4 1/8 x 5 5/8 and then put on the cards with Dimensionals and finished with the Holiday Basic Jewels.  Inside I kept simple just stamped the little lady bugs across the bottom,

They are so cute.

Then next card is a little bit different instead of a white background I used DSP from the Best Dressed 6 x 6 DSP pack.  The card is Balmy Blue and the colors work great together. For the lady bug I went off the grid and did one in blue somewhere there are blue lady bugs  The cards measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 and the DSP is 5 1/4 x 4.  I used the Old Olive sheer ribbon on the left side with a bow and stamped, colored and fussy cut the flower and the lady bug and added them with dimensionals.  To finish the card I added those blue flowers from the Flower Faceted Gems set they fit perfectly for this card as you can see from the close up here.

For the inside on white 5 1/4 x 4 I used a strip of the left over DSP and I had another flying lady bug so added one to the inside of the card.

My last card is 3 x 3 and very simple.  Stamped the Salutations on the card added the lovely Real Red Double Stitched ribbon and then a bow.  Then colored the lady bug with a Real Red marker cut it out and put it on the card with dimensionals.  Put a few holiday gems on the lady bug and I was done.

Here are the 3 cards together they just make me happy every time I look at them.

Thank you so much for stopping by make sure you go to the next person on the list and see what lovely things they have done.

Hope you all have a very Happy New Year until next month.

October 2019 NC Demos Blog Hop

This months Blog Hop theme is what we like from the Annual Catty or the Holiday Mini and I really had a tough time deciding but I was finally able to narrow it down and I am very happy with the results

My first card uses the Merry Moose stamp set and the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper and two of this years InColors Seaside Spray and the now back in stock Purple Posy just love the way those two colors work together.

When I first saw the Moose set I knew I would have to order it.  Loved going to Maine all the time when I lived in NY and the Moose became my favorite animal so he was one stamp set I had to have.
The Feels Like Frost DSP is outstanding and I really love the two of these items together.  So here is my first card.

The card base is Seaside Spray cut 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  The layer of Purple Posy is 5 1/4 X 4 and the DSP is 5 X 3 3/4. The Salutation is from the Toile Christmas stamp set and cut out with the matching dies.  Before I put it on the card with dimensionals I added some Rose Metallic Thread to the back and once it was in place added a bow made with another favorite the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon and then I had to add my Moose.  Stamped him on Crumb Cake cardstock in black and punched him out with the Moose punch.  He needed a scarf and did one for him in Real Red and put him on the card.  Gave him some footprints by stamping the trail in Seaside Spray.

For the inside of the card I kept it simple

The second card I made uses the Snow globe dies and the Woodland Embossing Folder more favorites.

Just love this snow globe only problem is I forgot to give my Moose a scarf but he is in the perfect setting.  I cut the Feels Like Frost DSP and that is the background for the Moose he is surrounded by all those cute snowflakes from the Snowflake Sequins.  Cut the globe from the Seaside Sray DSP and used the  Woodland Embossing Folder and added one of the domes.  The base of the snow globe was cut from the Purple Posy cardstock finished the card with a salutation and a pretty Seaside Spray bow.  Kept the inside the same as the other card. My card base is 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 and Purple Posy layer is 5 1/4 X 4 and the Seaside Spray layer is 5 X 3 3/4.

The color palette makes is feel really frosty

Thank you so much for stopping by this month and make sure you go on to the next person on the list I am sure she will WOW you.  Till next month.

September 2019 NC Demos Blog

Welcome to this months NC Demos Blog Hop.  It's Fall and although the weather outside is not reflecting this, Fall has arrived and this month's theme is the Fall and Fall Holidays.  When I think of Fall I think of cooler weather, falling leaves and color- tons and tons of gorgeous colors.  This time of year my sons and I pack into our red pick up truck and head out so of course my idea for this month's theme is that.

So this is my happy Fall card.  I used the Ride with Me and the Snow Front stamp sets to make this card and had to add the pumpkins cause trucks always have to carry some thing.

I started out by stamping the truck on Real Read cardstock and cutting it out I am one of those people who loves to fussy cut so no problem and then as I was looking add it I realized it needed more so I took the Frost White Shimmer paint and added in some details and I wanted the tires to have some sparkle too so I added a drop of black re-inker to the paint and colored them in and of course the tires had to have some bling so I added 2 red rhinestones and my truck was ready to go so then I added the pumpkins which I stamped in black and colored with watercolor pencils and cut out with the Ride With Me matching dies and put it on the background.

The card base is Real Red cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.  I then cut a piece of Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 and using the Snow Front stamp set put in the mountains and ground with Grey Granite ink the trees are in Early Expresso and the leaves were added in Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive and with Real Red I added a Cardinal.  I then sponged the bottom with Old Olive and put the truck on this piece with dimensionals and we are set to go.

The inside is very simple just stamped in some pumpkins and colored them.

I am in the foothills and hoping the Fall will be really colorful here it hasn't happened yet but I did a version of this card for my friends on the coast.

Hope you liked these two versions and will come back again next month to see what will be featured.  Please make sure to click on the next person on the list and hope to see you again next month.  Happy Fall Y'all

NC Demos Quarterly Meeting Storyboard

This weekend is the NC Demos Quarterly Meeting and I can't wait.  I didn't sign up for any of the swaps but signed up for the Storyboard.  You picked a stamp set from the list I picked Butterfly Wishes and then you had to make 6 cards using all the stamps in the set.  These are the cards I made.
