The Cards A Latte group will be meeting again on Friday September 6th at 10 AM at the Local Bean coffee shop in Hudson NC. We will be making 4 cards.
There is nothing better than spending an afternoon creating cards with rubber stamps. Heaven on earth. A cup of coffee with this helps add even more to the experience.

August 2024 NC Demos Blog Hop
Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop! We are here the last Sunday of each month and are so happy that you are here to join us. The theme for this month's Blog Hop is "Flower Power" and I do love flowers. So my card tonight features a new suite that is in the September-December mini that is available to all on September 4th. This suite caught my eye because it's flowers and lots of them. I am using the Regal Flora stamp set, the absolutely gorgeous Regal Winter 12 x 12 Designer Series paper and the Regal Foiled adhesive backed dots.
The card I am making is a fun fold that I cased from a video done by our Southeast DM-Heather Lambert. This card is a new fun fold and since I love a good fun fold had to try it. Will also be making one for one of my card classes for sure.
To begin I cut a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock at 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 and scored it a 3 inches. The I cut a piece of the DSP at 5 1/4 x 4 and placed it on the inside of the card. For the front flap I cut a piece of DSP 2 3/4 x 4 and added this. Two pieces of white were cut measuring 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 holding them in a horizontal position on one in the lower right corner I stamped the tiny flower from the stamp set in Blackberry Bliss. On the other piece I stamped the flowers in Fresh Freesia and with a sponge dauber added some more color to the centers of the flowers. It was missing something so from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set I stamped a small butterfly in the same manner as the flowers and then added my sentiment in Blackberry Bliss
So then I cut a piece of card stock 3 x4 put the white with all the flowers on it and put it on the front flap with dimensionals placing it more to the left side of the card. I then added the inside white piece making sure it was in an area that the top piece covered it. All that is left now is the closing mechanism.
Finish with three of the Regal Foiled dots in the center of each flower and your card is done.
Thank you so much for joining us this evening and please make sure to visit all the other sites on this blog hop for more beautiful and exciting ideas.
Until next month be save and keep on stamping.
