There is nothing better than spending an afternoon creating cards with rubber stamps. Heaven on earth. A cup of coffee with this helps add even more to the experience.

My 2010 Christmas Card
My Christmas card for this year if finally finished and ready to be mailed. I love the Dasher stamp and this sheet of the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper. What doesn't show up on the picture is that I embossed Dasher with White embossing powder and added a rhinestone to add some bling. I really like it.

November Class--Christmas Cards
This card I really like. I used Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla. After I stamped the images in Artichoke ink I sprayed the top note piece with mixture of Alcohol and Shimmer Paint it gives it that touch of class.
The picture does not do this card justice. The top and bottom of the card have been done with the paisley wheel in Poppy Parade as well as the saying on the side of the card. It gives the card a different look.
The letterpress plates are so easy to use and I so love the results you can get. Added the pearl elements to bring the card up a notch.
This card came out so cute. Again the picture does not do it justics. I love the build a wheel and the fun things you can do with it.
This class is November 13, 2010 from 1-3 PM. If you are interested in coming or in purchasing any of the items I used please contact me at KZ4Stamping@aol.com.

November NY WooHoo Stampers Swap
The theme for the November Swap was any Hostess Set. I chose this one. I just love it. It's called Birthday Bakery so how could you go wrong. The In Colors I felt were perfect for this card. I used Concord Crush, Pear Pizazz and Blushing Bride. To make the flower I used the Blushing Bride Twill Ribbon and twisted it as I attached it to a piece of cardstock. That idea I cased. I like it, more layers than I am used to doing.

October Class
My October class is about the Holidays and the one thing everyone needs is tags. So I decided to do the tags as Card Candy. I am very happy with the way they came out and they are in one place and very easy to get to and use. We made this card holder at Convention and I decided to use it to make 3 x 3 cards. They look great on a gift and you can give the set to someone too.

September Woo Hoo Stampers Swap
Love this card and it was so much fun to make. I mixed Clear Embossing Powder with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and the effect on the cards is awesome. I wish you could see it this picture doesn't do it justice. I also love the 1/8" Ribbon. It great to put ribbon where you were never able to. It makes this scallop punched circle look so much better with the ribbon on it. Pacific Point is a good color for snowflakes.

Sept. Class--Customers Request
This was a challenging class for me to do not only did I have to come up with the ideas but they had to have what my stampers wanted. In August I gave them a survey to complete and out of that survey I took what they wanted to see done and put it in a card for them to make first hand. Some of the requests I will be using in this class are Halloween cards, Ghosting Technique, cutting out stamped images, using punches and coloring directly on the stamp and some water coloring. There were more but there is just so much you can do on four cards. I will be doing more of their requests in my next few classes.
This firs card is 3 X 3 and using inking the stamp and then coloring it. I think it's cute and I love the new seam binding from the Holiday Mini.

The new ribbon border punch makes a great frame as you can see in this card. The idea is to match everything up perfectly so no jagged frame. This can be a Halloween card too just add the faces to the card and change the saying. Cute used the new In Colors-Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade and Peach Pazzazz.
My little vampire card came out better than I thought it would. I am no a fan of the Ghosting Technique I always fell the color come out muddy looking but it seems to fit this card. The jewels in the Holiday Mini made his eyes really pop. I have a thing for Vampires.
You can't have a Halloween card without a Witch and here she is. I have her riding her broom like a skateboard. Colored her in with Chalks and Blender Pen and cut her out. Used the jewels on her eyes too.

August Class--Backgrounds You Didn't Know You Could Do
This class will be so much fun. Backgrounds can make or break a card. I have done three for this class that will make the card. The first is the Waxed Paper technique. Very simple and no 2 cards are ever the same.
Shadowing is a technique I picked up in High School and really didn't use it till college but it can be done in so many different ways and so many different effects can be achieved. I have done a very simple design here. I just love it.

Convention 2010
Convention was fantastic the best every. But then again I say that every year and it's true. It was so exciting and I laughed and laughed all day long. I was sad to see it end. I got to be with people I hadn't seen in a while and I meet so many new friends. I have been with Stampin Up for 5 years so I got to walk across stage. My friends and I got to talk to Shelli Gardner and we had so much fun. One man said to us what kind of cult is this we all laughed and explained it to him but I still don't think he understood it. Now I have to unpack, unwind do laundry and get back to a normal life.

My Story--Why I became a Demonstrator
I was invited by Stampin' Up to take part in a 10 week program. There were several challenges that I had to do for this part and one of them was think back to why I became a Demonstrator. I hadn't thought about it in a long time and decided I would share my story with you.
I have always been into crafts. I have scapbooked all my life even when scapbooking wasn't popular many of those books have fallen apart now but they are still fun to look at. With all the crafts I was doing I never thought about rubber stamping.
In 2001 for my birthday I was given a box of stamps and two ink pads. The stamps weren't cut out or mounted from a company I never heard of Stampin' Up, and I said what am I going to do with this. I put it on the side and it sat there for over a year. One day I was looking for something to do and came across this set. I took it out. Read the instructions and put the set together. I liked the results. The set I had gotten was Cottage Rose and the ink pads were Cameo Coral and Ruby Red. The ink pads were the old style ones not like the ones we have today.
It was okay, I liked the results but I wasn't hooked. Then one of my friends invited me to a Stampin' Up party. I thought why not let me find out what this company is all about and what they have. I went I loved the catalog and was disappointed that I couldn't take it home. I had spent $50 at the party and didn't have the $10 for the catalog. So I left there a little unhappy. I loved the stuff but I still wasn't sure what to do with it.
A friend of a friend of a friend told me about the Stampin Up demonstrator. She held Stamp Camps in her home once a month and I decided to go with my friends. I didn't know her but she soon became a good friend. She made some great cards and I learned a lot. I also noticed that I really looked forward to these classes once a month. I loved stamping, craved the paper and accessories and everything else I learned about Stampin' Up. I then decided to approach her about becoming a demonstrator but Ialready knew in my heart I was going to do this. I even had my paperwork filled out and ready to go.
It had been 5 years now and I have loved every minute of being a demonstrator. I love the people I have meet and I love what I do. I still look forward to the classes every month but now they are my classes. I love sharing what I do and what I love even more is all I have learned from others.
Becoming a Stampin' Up Demonstrator was the best thing I have ever done. It lets me do what I love and to share it with others.

Convention 2010 Swap
This is one of the cards I will be handing out during the Swaps at Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah the end of this month. What you can't see in the picture it that I have scored portions of the card to give it that more polished look. The area on the left side between the border and the flowers has a score line. And on the right the area that appears blank has 3 score lines 1/4" apart. I love the way the Very Vanilla and the Marina Mist cardstock look together.

July Class--New New New
This is a simple but cute card.
I love the colors in this card. The new Daffodil Delight is a delight and is such a pretty color and the new 1/8 " ribbon is so easy to use and is really a good quality ribbon. I didn't think I would like the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper but it is really nice.
This card came out so good that it is going to be one of my swap cards for convention. The Wild Wasbi and the Garden Green work so good together and adding the Naturals Ivory completed the package. Love it.
July Woo Hoo Stampers Swap
The theme for the swap was anything from the new catalog. So I did this card using some new items and some old. The new is Blushing Bride, Cherry Cobbler cardstock and ink, Fast and Fabulous stamp set and the new large scallop punch. The Cherry Cobbler works with so many colors I am having fun playing.

June Class--Tina's Choice
We had so much fun at the class today. We made these cute little gift cards and then we made a cute little box to put them in.
This is the little box it was made with the scallop envelope sizzlet die. I cut an inch off each piece for the bottom to fit the cards and added a 1 inch piece on each side so the cards fit in just right.
Black Magic was the next card we did and the colors just made it perfect. As a matter of fact any colors we used made it perfect.
This is what I call the Asian Shade card. The crimper and Chocolate Chip ink makes it perfect. So fast and easy to do.
I hold classes at least once a month in my home and we always have a great time. The next class is July 10th and that will have all new items and new products to try. Contact me if you would like more information about the classes.Friday, June 18, 2010
New Colors
Motorcycle Cards
I love the motorcycle stamp. I was hoping it would be in the new catalog but it's not. Well, anyway, I have been having fun with it. The first picture is the inside of the little card I have on top I wanted to show from a bike to a motorcycle. So this is the motorcycle naturally. This is the way the card looks closed as you can see the bike starts it all and the saying fits to a tee.

NC Demos Quaterly Meeting
The NC Demos Quarterly Meeting is Friday night and Saturday April 30 and May 1, 2010. I signed up for the Summer Mini Card Front Swap and this is the card I will giving out. You can't see the glitter on the pictured but I ran a strip of sticky tape down the side and added a combination of red and black glitter. I also used the new stamp set from the mini Watercolor Trio. If you would like to purchase this set contact me.
Woo Hoo Stampers April Swap
The April Swap for my NY group was a flower theme. I made a ribbon flower to go along with the stamped flowers. I used 2 pieces of ribbon one 4 inches and then another 6 inches. Once they were sewn and gathered it was easy to keep the flower together with a crystal rhinestone brad. This card won the montly prize.
