October 2025 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop, we are here the last Sunday of the month and so happy you could join us this evening.  This months theme is Stack a bunch of papers, cut them all up at once, shuffle them and create a number of cards with them.  I decided to do a stack that makes 3 cards and very easy to do for a class.

I took 3 different pieces of DSP cut 5 1/4 x 4.  I made a pile of them and cut the any which way to make 3 pieces from each design.

This is what I got when I mixed them up.

I then took 3 pieces of Basic White cut them to 5 1/4  x 4 now I wad ready to grab 3 different pieces in different shapes and made these 3 backgrounds.

Now I was ready to create my cards.  For the first card I made a base with Pecan Pie 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  I used this base for all my cards but different colors.  I glued the first piece to the base.  Then took another piece of Pecan Pie cut 3 x 1 and glued on a sentiment from one of are Ephemera packs and glued it to this piece.  I placed it in the center of the cards with dims and then fussy cut 2 leaves and 1 mushroom from the DSP and added them to the top of the sentiment piece. Finished with 3 Earth Tone Shimmer Gems.

The second card has a card base of Basic Beige. I added a piece of Gold Edged Satin ribbon across the center and then adhered it to the front of the card.  Had a large circle already die cut and on this piece and the Fluffy Squirrel stamp set decorated the circle.  Stamped the outside of the squirrel and sentiment in Early Espresso and the inside of the squirrel in Cajun Craze piled up some acorns in Pecan Pie and put the circle in the center of the cards over the ribbon with dims.  Finished with 3 Pressed Flower motifs.

The card base for the 3rd card is Crushed Curry.  Added the last background to the card base.  Took another die cut circle and with Cajun Craze stamped the sentiment, some acorns and leaves around the circle.  The acorn and leaves were in a Paper Pumpkin kit.  I then ran the edge of the circle in the ink pad.  Added this to the center of the card. Adhered 3 Crust embellishments to the card and #3 was done.

Here are the three cards together.

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening and make sure to stop by the other blogs for some great ideas.  Till next month be safe and keep on stamping.

September 2025 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and thank you for stopping by this evening.

Our theme this month has to do with creating a background with stamps and techniques.  It was a challenge I was ok with.

I began with a piece of White cut 5 1/4 x 4.  I then picked several ink pads and blender brushes and began. These are the colors I choose, Shy Shamrock, Azure Afternoon, Highland Heather and Pretty in Pink.

This is how it turned out.

I was not finished.  I took a stamp from the Charming Day stamp set and black ink and stamped the flowers all around the card. Till it looked like this but I was not finished.  I then took my Wink of Stella and colored in all the leaves and flowers with it.

This is how it looked when I was done

I then add this piece to my card base of Azure Afternoon 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. Added a sentiment from an Ephemera pack and some Hues of Blue Flowers embellishments.

And finally the finished card.

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening.  Please make sure to check out all the other blogs you will not be disappointed.

Until next month be safe and keep on stamping.

August 2025 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of the month and so glad you could join us this evening.  This months theme is "Upcycle".  This I have to admit was a challenge but I hope I did ok. I wanted to do something different.

My sons work nights so they usually have dinner late and I find my dinner the next morning in the frig on a plate covered in aluminum foil.  This happens several times a week so there is a lot of foil being thrown out.  So one day after taking my dinner out to heat it up I looked at the foil and a light bulb went off in my brain.  I have used foil on cards before and other items but this time I took the foil, crumbled it up and made like a stamp out of it.  I wasn't sure it would work but it did and made the cute irregular designs on the paper so I knew I was using it on my card for this blog hop.

I cut white cardstock 5 x 3 3/4 made made 5 aluminum foil stamps and stamped Strawberry Slush, Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green and Black on it and loved the way it came out.  I put this piece on a piece of Basic Black 5 1/4 x 4 and on a card base of Basic White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 and put it on the side.  I need something more for this card.

I love the 6 x 6 paper packs but I always wind up with a ton of strips because the paper is either cut down to 5 1/2 or 5 1/4.  These 1/2 or 3/4 inch strips I sometimes use on the inside of the card but I still wind up with a ton left over.  I was ready to throw them out and then this card challenge came up and I decided instead of throwing them out I would use them.  So I cut them down to 6 x 1/4 got out my quillling tool and quilled a flower for the front of my card.  Let it dry and added it to the front over my aluminum foil stamped front.

To finish the card I added a sentiment from one of our ephemera packs and my card for this blog hop was done.  I hope you like it.

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening and please make sure to stop by all the other blogs for some great ideas.  I know I am looking forward to checking them out too.

Till next month be safe and keep on stamping.
