May 2025 NC Demos Blog Hop

 

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month at 8 PM and I am so happy you are here this evening.  The new annual catalog went live on May 6th and that means we have new InColors for the years 2025-2027.   Our challenge was to make a monochromatic colored card using one of the new InColors: which are Cloud Cover, Darling Duckling, Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger.  A really nice selection of colors.

I am not much of a orange person but for some reason Timid Tiger has caught my eye and I have decided to user this color for my card this evening along with Basic White and Basic Beige.  The Notes and Totes stamp set and dies are also being used this evening just love that little tote bag.

I took a piece of Timid  Tiger cardstock and cut it 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored it at 4 1/4 and put it on the side for now.  Cut a piece of Basic White 5 1/4 x 4 and inked the pretty flower in the stamp set in Timid Tiger and stamped several times before re-inking to make my own background paper and added this to the front of the card.

Next came a ton of die cutting.  I cut the tote out of Basic Beige and the bag straps plus decorations all out of Timid Tiger and they were the bag scarf, water bottles and sun glasses.  Then I glued everything to the tote that I could and added it to my card.  Die cut white for notice and stamped heading in Timid Tiger and added that to the inside of the bag.  Lastly added the cute sunglasses and a new InColor flat pearl to the front to finish the card.

For the inside I cut Basic White 5 x 3 1/2 and added one of the small hearts left over from die cutting the top of the sunglasses.  My card was now finished and I love it.  I hope you do too.

April 2025 NC Demos Blog Hop

 Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop!  We are here the last Sunday of  each month and are so glad that you could join us this evening.  This months theme is "It's Hip to be Square" and everything on my card is square.

It's nice every once in a while to break from the norm and do something different.  I like making square cards they are fun and interesting.  For this months card I did two versions I wasn't sure which one I liked better all the materials are the same for both cards just a different way of presenting them was used.  

The stamp sets used were Unbound Love and With You in Mind.  The card base is 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4 fits in regular envelop for mailing.  The DSP is from the Timeless Plaid 6 x 6 paper pack and cut 4 x 4 and added to the front of the card.  The rest of the cardstock was cut as follows: White 2 x 2, Daffodil Delight 2 1/4 x 2 1/4, Cajun Craze cut 2 1/2 x 2 1/2, and lastly Crushed Curry cut 2 3/4 x 2 3/4.  On the white is where I stamped with Cajun Craze.  All pieces were stacked and put on front of card with dimensionals.  The other set was layered differently keeping lower right corners together and also put on the front of it's base with dimensionals.

I also did the inside of each card differently because again I couldn't decide which one I liked better.  White was cut 4 x 4 and a strip of DSP cut 4 x 3/4 was put either on the left side or at the bottom.  I also stamped and cut out a cute little cupcake which was also put on the inside. 

To finish I made a little bow with the Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon and then added three Cajun Craze Faux Glass Dots.

March 2025 NC Demos Blog Hop

 

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and are so happy you could join us this evening.  

The theme for this month is "Bundle Up" and I do love the Stampin' Up bundles plus you get to save some money.  My favorite this month is the amazing Botanical Textures Suite Collection it is just amazing.  The suite includes a stamp set and dies, 2 packages of Designer Series Paper in gorgeous prints, an embossing folder, ribbon and gems.  At first I wasn't sure I would like it but once I began to play with it I have to say it has become my favorite bundle so far.

I made this card using the Woven Textures DSP and the Textured Notes stamp set.  Cut Crumb Cake cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and score at 4 1/4.  Cut DSP 5 1/4 x 4 add to front. Cut white 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 and stamp using Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow add to left side of card.  Cut white 2 x 3/4 and stamp sentiment in Pecan Pie put on piece of Mossy Meadow cut 2 1/4 x 1 add to card with dimensionals finish with linen thread bow and neutral matte dots.

This card I made using the other pack of DSP, Botanical Textures and the Textured Notes stamp set and this time the awesome dies.  The dies are great and each one has a pretty design on it.

March 2025 Stampin' Up OnStage

 The SU OnStage this year is in Raleigh NC and I will be heading there this week.  I have made 3 swaps for general swapping and 1 for a groups swap.  Here are the cards going with me to Raleigh. The one for the group swap is the first one.
