Danny's Birthday Card

My brother will be 61 on June 8th and this is the card I came up with for him.  I liked it because it was a different kind of fold.  Plus I love the Open Sea stamp set.  Really wish it was going to be in the new catty.

Busy Day

Most of the time I sit down and work on cards for either my classes or a swap but today I wanted to play with some of the colors that I hadn't really used much this year.  The two I picked was Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait.  I wanted something cute and fast and something I might want to do at a workshop or class in the future.  I came up with these two.   I think they came out pretty good and I used the Smooch Spray on both of them.

June Class--Theme--Summer

I am all set and ready for my next class which takes place June 11, 2011 from 1-3 PM in my home.  The theme of this class is summer and we will be doing the cards that reflect this.  We will also be using some new techniques like the one I discovered embossing on Sticky Tape as well as using the new 3 layer punch.  These cards are fun and easy to do they will also get you ready for the new catalog which comes out July 1. Embossing on Sticky Tape

Here is the finished card.  I love this technique.  It is easy and I get even straight lines.  You have to try it.

Has anyone tried this before? It's AWESOME!

This is something I tried today and it worked.  I wanted straight lines on a card embossed and what I did was take sticky tape (Score Tape, Red backed tape) I took put in where I wanted it and took the top cover off added the embossing powder heated it and it worked.  I love it you have to try it.  Tip:  cover what you have already embossed and be careful when removing the paper what you have already done could smear.  I know I did it. Here is my sample so far the card is not finished but the Melon Mambo and the Tangerine Tango strips are embossed.  I used Wild Wasabi to emboss the ice cream.
