April 2022 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop we are here the last Sunday of each month and so happy you could join us this evening.  The theme for this month is "Spring Special Occasions" and I have decided to do a Mother's Day card.  I have looked over my cards the last few years and realized I had not done a Mother's Day card in years so it was time.

The base of my card is Fresh Freesia cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.  I then cut a piece of the 2021-2023 InColors 6 x 6 DSP to 5 1/4 x 4 and added it to the front of the card.  Then I grabbed the Cut and Emboss machine and went to work cutting pieces from the Scalloped Contour Dies and the Penned Dies.  The scalloped piece in white and the label piece in Fresh Freesia then the solid flower piece in the Freesia and the detailed floral piece in White.  I did stamp some splatter on the card to add more color and then I attached the two Floral pieces and put them on the Scalloped piece with dimensionals and put this whole piece on the lower right side of the card with dimensionals.

The Label in Fresh Freesia I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black and added that to the upper left side of the card.  To finish the front I made a bow from the Fresh Freesia Open Weave ribbon and added that to the card with a dot and then added 3 rhinestones.

For the inside I cut white 5 1/4 x 4 and added a strip of the DSP to the bottom that measured 3/4 x 4 1/4.  My card is now complete and I love it.

Thank you so much for stopping by and make sure you check out all the blogs for some great stamping ideas these ladies are amazing.  Till next month take care and be safe.

March 2022 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop, we are here the last Sunday of each month and are so glad you could join us this evening.  This months theme is a little different it is a challenge using the Stamping Challenge Dice we were give our goal to create a card using the following.

Theme-Friendship, Style-Clean and Simple, Colors-InColors, Technique-Sponging, Accents-Twine

I used one of the newer InColors-Polished Pink I am not a pink person but I do like this one and decided it would be the base of my card.  It was cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.

Since the card was to be clean and simple I took a piece of the InColors 6x6 DSP and cut it 2 1/2 x 2 3/4 and sponged the edges and put it on the front of the card in upper lefts side.  White was cut to the same size and using Edens Garden stamp set stamped the flower in Polished Pink then sponged the edges and put it on the front of the card on the right side of the card.

Then took a long piece of the Black twine folded it in half and tied a bow trimmed the edges and put it in the center of the DSP. The last thing to do was stamp the sentiment did that right on the front in black ink.

For the inside, White was cut 5 1/4 x 4 and all I did was sponge the left edge in Polished Pink and attached it to the inside card.  I have to say it was hard to keep it this simple but I did enjoy the challenge.

Here again is the finished card

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening but wait there is more please make sure you stop and visit all the blogs of the people in this hop they are am amazing group and I am sure you will love everything you see.
