June 2019 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Monthly Blog Hop.  The new Stampin' Up Catty launched on June 4th and the theme for this months blog is something new.  This catty is awesome and so I decided I had to do something awesome too.  In most of my classes the biggest request I get is for gift card holders so I decided to make a new gift card holder using new product, can't beat that.  For this card I used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and the Magnolia Lane DSP.

As you can see it is a very simple and easy to make gift card holder.

I took a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock and cut it at 4 1/4 I scored it at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2 and folded it.

I then took the smallest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies place it on the Big Shot about 3/4 inch from the edge and cut it out

I then fold all the score lines and on the 2 outside edges put some sticky tape and pressed it down and the insert for the gift card was made 1 2 3.  You could also use a punch to make the opening but be sure you card will fit in.  And now I was able to do the rest of the card.

DSP was cut 4 x 2 1/2 and attached to outside flap.  Then I cut a piece of white 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 and with black ink stamped the small flower all over the piece.  I then put it on a piece of Blushing Bride 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and attached only the top half of this piece to the card the rest overlaps onto the card base and conceals the gift card inside.

In black I stamped the salutation on the bottom and added two rhinestones to add some bling.  To finish the card I then took the DSP found a sheet that looks just like the stamp and fussy cut it out and put it in the center of the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 white piece with a dimensional and my card was finished.
