March 2021 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop we are here the last Sunday of each month and are so glad you could join us this evening.  Our theme for this month is Scene 2.  Last year we did a card where we had to build a scene and that is what we are doing this month.

When the catalog came out last year one of the bundles that attracted me was Grace's Garden and I have used stamps from that set and dies on other cards but never really used it all on one card and I thought this is my chance especially since this stamp and die set is retiring. So here is what I did with Grace's Garden

Card is Petal Pink cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  White is 5 1/4 x 4 and was done in layers.  I first cut the gate out of crumb cake and placed it on the white piece where I wanted it and then stamped the fence on both side with Early Espresso and then removed the gate.  Took my blender brushes and added Balmy Blue for the sky and Garden Green for the ground.  Then took the Garden Green and stamped some foliage that would be seen before the gate and behind it.  Put .the gate back in and stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso this part was done and put it on the side

While I had all the ink and stamps out I did the inside this piece of white is 5 1/4 x 4. I  added a fence post, foliage and a sentiment and the inside was done it has it's own little scene and went to finish the front.

I needed some additional pieces and die cut the foliage to put over the gate and stamped colored and fussy cut the cat and the bird and finished the front of the card and attached it to the card base.  The gate went in it's place and I then thucked in the green foliage added the cat to the front who is very carefully watching the cute little cardinal who is sitting on the fence.

I added some small rhinestones as sun drop to finish the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by and make sure you check out all the other blogs listed below to see how they did their scenes and be prepared to be WOWED.  Till next month stay safe.

Tina, I love this card! I didn't get around to purchasing this set and I probably won't now that it's retiring. But I LOVE that little cat, lol! It's funny how sometimes just ONE image will really just steal your heart, and for me, it was that little guy (or gal!).

Your card is so pretty. I bought this set and die and haven't used it at all. I'm sorry it's retiring. Why do I do that?

Tina - Your card is beautiful, and your directions are great. Thanks so much for giving words and pictures to show the process to make your design. I am bummed that this bundle is retiring. I really love the images in the stamp set and the dies as well. They make great scene designs and have beautiful images. Thanks so much for sharing!
