Hi and Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop we are here the last Sunday of the month and are so glad you could join us. This months theme is "Summer". I grew up on Long Island and the summers were the beach or the bay but the only thing wrong with that was the crowds and the noise so it was early on that I discovered I preferred the mountains. The peaks and valleys the fresh air and the flowers, animals and bugs. So my card tonight brings back some of those memories.
The card I created for you uses the Daisy Garden and the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Sets .
The card base is Basic Grey cut a 5 1/2 x 11 and scored at 4 1/4.
The Balmy Blue layer is 5 1/4 x 4 and on this piece in Night of Navy ink I stamped the Daisy Garden. I used the stamparatus for this to make sure I got good coverage as this is a large stamp. I set this aside to dry.
I then worked on the rest of the card. I love the Butterfly Biyou 6 x6 DSP and I wish they would have kept it so since I have till the end of the month I used the Brilliant Wings dies and cut out the butterflies from the one sheet with all the butterflies. The die fits perfectly over it.
I than attached the Balmy Blue piece to the card base with dimensionals. I used the dual oval punch next on the smaller oval cut it out in Balmy Blue and stamped Salutation in Night of Navy and with a dimensional added the smaller oval on top and put it on the card a little below center and on the right.
I then took 2 of the middle size butterflies and added them with dimensionals. I love butterflies when I was little my grandmother told me a wonderful story about them. That if a butterfly lands on you it is a kiss from God so butterflies have always been special. To finish the front I added three blue adhesive backed gems.
The inside is white 5 1/4 x 4 and all I added was another butterfly cut from the DSP.
Thanks you so much for stopping by and please make sure to visit all the other sites listed below and see all the wonderful project that have been created for you. See you again next month.
