Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop we are here the last Sunday of each month and so glad you could join us this evening. The theme for this month is "Know When to Fold 'Em" and I just love fun folds. The fun fold I am doing for you today is one I have not seen before and I cased it from a Canadian demonstrator by the name of Rose Coleman. She does a video Monday through Friday and on Friday it is always a fun fold.
I started with a base of Real Red cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 2, 4 1/8 and 6 1/4. Fold it so it looks like a "W" and this is the inside of the card and where we will begin. Cut 2 small 1" circles in white and score them in half. I am using white to show you how the card is done. Glue these half circles to the center of the card one on each side of the fold like as pictured. This is what makes the card work.
Cut 2 pieces of DSP 5 1/4 x 1 3/4 and glue them down making sure to leave the two halves of the circles exposed. This part is finished for now. We can work on the two other panels on the inside these are white cut at 5 1/4 x 1 3/4 and stamp the trees from the Peaceful Deer stamp set in Shaded Spruce and attach to the two end panels. The inside is finished for now.
Cut two more pieces of a different DSP 5 1/4 x 1 3/4 and attach to the front outside panels. These panels are the ones when you fold the card into a gate fold. This piece is now finished and we can work of the focal point.
Cut a piece of white 3 5/8 x 2 7/8 and stamp the largest tree from the stamp set here in Shaded Spruce and the sentiment on the bottom or where ever you would like it. Put this white piece on a piece of Real Red cut 3 x 3 3/4. This piece is now ready to put on the inside of the card and it also serves as the front of the card.
Put glue on the two exposed half circles and center this piece on the back panel and glue in place leave it to dry for a few minutes and now you can fold the card. Keeping this front panel up fold the back of the card into a gate fold and the accordian folding gives it the movement you need to fold the card.
To finish the card I took a piece of Real Red glimmer paper and the reindeer punch and punched one out and I put it on the center of the front white panel with dimensionals and of course some bling. Once you get the hang of opening and folding it the card is fun to play with and it sits anywhere with out falling over.
This is the card the girls made in my class and once they got it done they too loved it. I hope the you will give it a try it is not hard to do at all.
Thanks so much for stopping by this evening and make sure you check out all the blogs for more fun folds. Take care and see you next month.

I'm not sure why my first comment showed coming from Anonymous :( That's what I get for trying to view the blogs from my phone, lol!
Wow, Tina! What a great folding technique! Will definitely be adding this one to my crafting to do list!
Interesting little fold. I love it. I need to give it a try, too. Pretty card, too.
