The Faux technique I am showing you today has two names and I am not sure what to call it. In the UK they say Faux Fracture and here in the states they call it Faux Patchwork. Well, whatever the name is I thought it was cool and had to try it it's not hard and its fun.
Begin with two pieces of cardstock, contrasting colors. I picked Black and Granny Apple Green. I decided the green would by my top color. I then took the Stylish Shapes dies and took out the two largest ones I used the large one on the Granny Apple Green and the smaller one on the Black. Remember to keep the large square you cut out you will need it again. The dies were used to form an Diamond Shape on the cardstock.
From the Playing in the Rain stamp set I stamped the turtle in Memento Black and colored him in with our SU pencils, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive and added him to the center of the Diamond Shape with dimensionals and stamped a sentiment in black at the bottom and added some of the Loose Daisies and the card was done.
Thanks you so much for stopping by this evening and make sure to visit all the other blogs for a FAUX-tastic time.
Until next month be safe.
