February 2023 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and are so happy you could join us this evening.  This months theme is "Sketch It Out" and when I am looking for a design because my brain is not coming up with one I go to card sketches for ideas.  Stampin' Up in their annual catalog has posted some card sketches for us and they can help anyone out with an idea of what they can do.

I have gone to page 22 of the annual catalog and picked out one that I haven't tried yet.  So this is the sketch I picked.

I then decided on what colors I was going to use and picked Shaded Spruce, Pretty in Pink and Soft Sea Foam.  Once that was done moved on to what I wanted to add.  I had purchased several of the ephemera packs and never opened them.  This was now the time to use them.

To get started I took a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock and cut it 4 1/4 x 11 and scored it at 5 1/2.
I then took a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock and cut it 5 1/4 x 4 and added it to the front. Next was a piece of Unbounded Beauty DSP and cut a piece of design that was Pretty in Pink and cut it 5 x 3 3/4 and added that to the front.

I had a piece of Soft Sea Foam that was already die cut and used that for the front, next I went through the Fully Flowering and Saying Something ephemera pack and picked out some flower for the front and inside and a saying that I liked.  Had fun going through all the items that are in these packages.

I added the flower to the Seafoam piece with dimensionals and then added the whole piece to the front of the card again using dimensionals.  Then using more dimensionals added the sentiment I had picked out.  But according to the sketch I was not finished so I added a bow made from the Pretty in Pink Bordered Ribbon and added it beneath the sentiment and to finish the card off I added some bling.

For the inside I cut white 5 x 3 1/2 and in the lower right added some small flowers from the ephemera pack and my card was finished and looking very much like the sketch.

I really liked using these ideas packs and will be getting more.

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening and please make sure you stop by the other blogs for some great ideas.  Till next month be safe and keep on stamping.

This is such a pretty card, Tina. I mentioned on Frances' post that I love a pink and green combo. And I think the sketches are just perfect for using the ephemeral packs. Thanks for sharing!
