July 2024 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop we are here the last Sunday of each month and I am so happy you are here this evening.  The theme for this month's Blog Hop is "Cool Off this July" and it really fits it has been so hot and humid here this year that cooling off is a priority.

I had purchased the Under the Moon stamp set when the new catty came out there was something about it I really felt drawn to and that is the stamp set I will be using tonight.  For me the best way to cool off is to be at the beach better yet in a boat catching the breezes and watching dolphins jumping out of the water and that is what I put in my card this evening.

My card base is Basic Beige I am really liking this color and it goes with anything and everything.  Cardstock is cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.

I cut another piece of Basic Beige 4 x 3 1/4 and stamped on this piece.

The following colors were used: Water-Azure Afternoon, Clouds- Grey Granite, Sun- Calypso Coral, Dolphins- Misty Moonlight and Sailboat- Blueberry Bushel.

This piece I put in the center of the card with Dims and then stamped the sentiment in Azure Afternoon on the bottom of the card.

On the inside I stamped a small pool of water and added on dolphin.

To finish the card added 3 blue rhinestones.

Thanks you so much for stopping by this evening and make sure to visit all the other blogs for great ideas and try to stay cool.  Till next month.

June 2024 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and I am so happy you could join us this evening.  For the month of June Stampin' Up! had a sale, any bundle was an extra 10% so you were saving 20% per bundle and today is the last day to be a part of this special.  It is also the theme for this months Blog Hop-We have to use a bundle from the sale.

One of my favorite bundles is the Simply Zinnia Stamp Set and dies and I am using this for my card.

My card base is Mossy Meadow cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. I started with the inside and cut a piece of Basic White 5 x 3 1/2 and in the lower right corner stamped the single zinnia in Melon Mambo.

I then took a piece of the Flowering Zinnia DSP the one in Melon Mambo with the zinnia's.  I cut this 5 1/4 x 4 and adhered it to the front of the card.

On a piece of Basic White I stamped the three zinnias in Memento Black and colored them in with the new InColor Blends.  The stems in Shy Shamrock and the flowers in Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie,  Petunia Pop and Daffodil Delight using both the light and dark blends.  I then die cut them for the front of my card before I adhered it I cut a piece of white 3 5/16 x 4 1/8 and put a piece of Melon Mambo on top which was cut 3 1/4 x 4.  This piece I put on the front of the card right next to the fold and added the Zinnias with dimensionals.

I then cut a piece of white 3 1/4 x 3/4 and stamped my sentiment in Melon Mambo this I adhered to the front of the card over the zinnia stems with dimensionals.  I finished the card by adding 3 Melon Mambo Glossy Dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by this evening and make sure you check out the other demos on the blog hop I am sure that you will find some great ideas for your cards.

Till next month be safe and stamp on!

May 2024 NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop.  We are here the last Sunday of each month and are so glad that you can join us this evening.  The theme for this month is the new 2024-2026 In Colors and added to that is a coloring challenge.  Love to color and this evening I am going back to techniques I have not used in a long time.

I decided that I would use the Stampin' Write Markers and the Blender Pens and it gave me a  chance to use all 5 new  InColors.

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.  This piece I put on the side for now and cut a piece of Basic White 5 1/4 x  4.  This piece I ran through the Cut and Emboss machine in the new Dashing Designs 3D embossing folder and glued it to the front of my card.

I then die cut 3 circles also in white from the Spotlight on Nature dies, these are just gorgeous with the different styles you can chose from.  I stamped everything in Black Staz On ink and was ready to color.

I first colored the stems with the Sky Shamrock marker then for the leaves I put some of the marker on a clear block and used the blender pen to pick up the color and color in the leaves.  The flowers I did a little differently.  I took the Pretty in Pink marker and colored in the dark areas and then took the blender pen and moved the color to the edge of the flowers and added more color where it was needed.

For coloring the butterfly I put the color again on a clear block and with the pen added the colors Petunia Pop, Summer Splash and Peach Pie. Making sure to clean the pen before using the next color.  I then glued the flower circle to the card and added the other two circles with dimensionals.

To finish the card I added 3 White Pearls in three sizes and card was finished. I then decided that I would add this card to one of my June classes.

Thank you so much for stopping by this month and please visit all the other blogs listed to get some great ideas for the new InColors.  Till next month by safe and stamp on.
