September 2022 NC Demos Blog Hop
Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop we are here the last Sunday of each month and are so happy you can join us tonight. This months theme is "It's Time to Leaf Summer Behind" and I love it. Fall is my favorite season and I love the changing colors of the leaves so this blog hop theme was perfect plus I get to use a ton of fall colors.
My card is Blackberry Bliss cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. The next piece is Crushed Curry and I cut that at 5 1/4 x 4 and before I put it on the card I used the 3D Embossing Folder Leaf Fall. It has such pretty falling leaves and it's just so pretty and a good background for my card.
Then using the Forever Fern dies I cut two large leaves, one out of Garden Green and one out of Cajun Craze and 2 small ones out of Pumpkin Pie. I glued the 2 larger leaves to the left side of the card and then using the Rectangle Postage Punch cut out a piece of white and added my sentiment in Blackberry Bliss I then put this over the leaves at the bottom right of the card with Dimensionals. I then added the 2 little Pumpkin Pie leaves to the top let of this piece. To finish the cards I added 3 of the Polished Dots they look so much like dew drops.
For the inside I cut white 5 x 3 1/2 and stamped one of the leaves from the Forever Fern stamp set in Blackberry Bliss and my card was done.

August 2022 NC Demos Blog Hop
Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop we are here the last Sunday of each month and are so happy you could join us. The theme for this month is "Black and White Cards" easy right. I love black and white cards no matter what the subject the cards are always classy, elegant and fun. My card this month uses the Christmas Scottie Stamp Set. Perfect for a black and white card.
My card base is Basic Black cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/2. I then went through all my stacks of current paper and picked out the black and white ones I really liked and thought would look good with the card I had in mind. Since the card is black my first DSP piece has more white in it and is cut 5 1/4 x4 the next piece has more black and this was cut 5 x 3 3/4 and the last piece was cut 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 and has the most white on it. Once these were all layered the next part was easy punch out the Scottie in Black and put him on the card with dims. I then punched out the bow in white and glued that around the Scottie's neck. I then cut out a piece of white and stamped my salutation in black and added it to the top left of the DSP and basically my card was done quick and easy.
For the inside I took white 5 1/4 x 4 and a strip of leftover DSP added it to the left side of the white piece and put it in the card.
To finish the card I added 4 Classic Matte Dots to the card making sure one went on the dogs bow and a white one for his eye. And my simple, elegant and fun Black and White card was done.

August 12-13 2022 NC Demos SU Retreat at Haw River State Park
I will be at Haw River State Park August 12-13 2022 for a SU retreat hosted by Karen Culler and her team. Friday night is our shoebox swap the first card is mine and the second is a friends can't wait. I have been to this park before and it is lovely and relaxing.
